Alex Crawford

Alex had been working with young children for more than ten years both in traditional classroom settings as well as private schools and outdoor classrooms.  Alex discovered a true love for outdoor education during her summers as an Education Counselor and Assistant Director at the Mass Audubon Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, and knew right away that a forest preschool would be a great addition to the North Shore.

Alex has a passion for working with integrated groups of children that contain a broad range of students including those with special needs and peer partners.  Encouraging parents with children with special needs to join us at The Acorn Forest School is a top priority for Alex.  As a lifelong North Shore Native, Alex has made it her mission to be involved in the communities she lives and works in, including volunteering for local non-profits such as Beverly Main Streets, Sweet Paws Rescue and the Boston Area Gleaners.  Look for Alex as a leader at one of our upcoming classes!
